Google Analytics Real-Time

Google Analytics is a greatly adopted tool, used by web masters to view the past performance of their web site(s). It allows the tracking of visitors from referrals such as search engines and marketing via email or advertising. When paired with Google AdWords it allows web masters to see the effectiveness of online campaigns as well as track where a user “lands” on the website, where they go and which route they take.

Until now these statistics were only available to show past performance but announced in a blog post by the product manager, John Jersin, was the launch of Google Analytics Real-Time. The blog goes on to explain how knowing the statistics in real-time can help webmasters make sure they’ve set up tracking correctly for when a campaign launches and see how much of an impact sharing items via twitter or other social networks can have.

During the coming weeks, Real-Time will be turned on for all of those who use it but if you can’t wait and wish to sign up now then you can do so here.
